A little clarity before the next step

Good questions.
Clear answers.

How we work with schools, what students can expect, and where clinical training fits into the bigger picture.

For programs

Do you support both MRI and ultrasound programs?

Yes. Sonaris Medical supports MRI and ultrasound clinical education through school partnerships. Training plans, clinical hours, supervision, and competency expectations are aligned with each school and modality. Explore our dedicated MRI and Ultrasound Clinical Training pages for details.

How many clinical hours do students receive?

Clinical hours are structured around the requirements of the partner program and the agreed rotation plan. We review expected hours and competencies before placement begins, then track participation throughout the rotation.

What does competency documentation include?

Documentation can include attendance, individual competency progress, evaluations, safety performance, positioning, coil selection, scan planning, image-quality development, and clinical workflow skills, aligned with the expectations established with the partner program.

How do you align with our program's requirements?

We begin by reviewing the program's clinical requirements, expected competencies, rotation timeline, reporting format, and any accreditation-related documentation needs. The partnership is then structured around those requirements rather than assuming every program uses the same clinical model.

How far in advance should we reserve capacity?

Earlier planning gives us the best chance to align capacity with your preferred start dates and cohort size. Programs with predictable recurring cohorts may benefit from Priority or Reserved capacity.

Where do you provide clinical training?

Our San Diego clinical readiness and administrative location is at Symphony Towers in downtown San Diego. Patient-based clinical experience takes place at clinical training sites. Orange County and Los Angeles open Spring 2027; Central and Northern California is coming in 2027. Placements and schedules are confirmed with each program.

For students

Do I need to be enrolled in a program to train here?

We primarily support the clinical-training portion of MRI and ultrasound education through partner schools. Ask your school about placement with Sonaris Medical, or contact our team to discuss how clinical training fits your education pathway.

Will I work with equipment and patients?

Clinical experience takes place under qualified supervision at clinical training sites. Students participate in MRI or ultrasound workflows according to their program, site protocols, preparation, and permitted scope.

Who determines my certification pathway?

Your academic program determines your certification pathway and eligibility. Our role is to support the clinical skills, supervised experience, and competency documentation agreed with your school.

How is my progress evaluated?

Evaluation can include attendance, observed clinical performance, safety behavior, positioning, workflow skills, competency progress, feedback, scenario work, and readiness assessment, depending on the requirements established with your program.

What makes this different from simply being assigned to a clinical site?

A clinical site can give you access. Our goal is to give that access structure: defined training expectations, safety gates, supervised practice, feedback, competency documentation, and a progression designed to help you know what you are supposed to be learning at each stage.
